I was an athelete in high school & college, so I've worked out on and off most of my life.
Once we had our son my time was dedicated to him and the wife, so my workouts pretty much went away.
Move forward some 30 years and I see a picture of myself from a hike we were on and I said to myself, I have to get back into the gym... So at 55 I started all over again.
Why I Love It:
It just makes you feel great, and seeing the results totally make the effort all worth it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm a very self motivating type of person, so staying motivated is not an issue for me.
BB Accomplishments:
In my first year of competitive body building I ran the board with placings from 4th to 1st. Winning at the Vancouver Natural was great & getting to go head to head in the overall was a real rush. But the 2nd place I just got at the WA. Ironman was best. I beat the competitors that had beaten me in the past, and came in the best yet. I was the best conditioned in my class, and had a good run at the win. I'll be better next year, and hopefully get the title then. But my main goal each time is to come in better than the last show, and try to bring the best package possible.

Wow, check out her video. Most guys can't come close to what she does on a chin bar. This young lady ROCKS.... A true inspiration that people CAN achieve what they want, IF they want to work hard enough to get there. Crystal West is a true inspiration.
Lauren is amazing. She shows you CAN overcome....Fantastic work she has accomplished. A true inspiration to many. Another great avenue to send people to see what can be done with hard work and dedication.
NO I'm not talking about a move I just made on the dance floor, or the kind if you're single and are trying to pick up the ladies...I'm talking about NOT lean enough for the show. I did it, I knew it, but that was it, that was the way I was going in to this show.
Sorry Corky, I haven't been paying much attention. Thanks a bunch...I did get the DVD...crazy...No way I have the stones to go that far. Have a wonderful Holiday and thanks again. Mark

Thanks for the encouraging words. Now that winter is here, I'm back into it real strong. I had slacked off quite a bit over the summer, and was doing a lot of cycling, but it's getting too cold for that, so it's back to the lifting, and once again, I'm addicted. How's everything been going for you?

Hi! Training is going well. Diet still needs work but it's way better than it was and it's slowly getting easier to stay away from the junk. Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you so much! You are looking amazing, and an inspiration! Good luck to you, and congrats on keeping that small waist that im trying to get. hahah
thank you corky!!! yes, 99.5% of the judges have suggested I switch over to bb.... being the mom that I am....I have an issue with going barefoot on stage!! yes, that sounds crazy but it is what it is! I have great admiration for female bb'rs and know first hand how hard it is to prep and diet!!! Have a happy healthy day!
