How I Started:
I started January 7, 2008 while participating in the Body for Life Challenge (http://bodyforlife.com/) and combining it with the National Discovery Health Challenge (http://health.discovery.com/) in three months I went from 270lbs to 250lbs. However, I fell ill and had to stop for a month and a half. Now I am getting back in the gym with a new sense of fight to be healthy! (Trying to at least)
Why I Love It:
I have to be honest; I do not like to work out. However, I understand it is a necessary activity that I have to make a permanent part of my life. (There, I said it with a straight face :-))
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep looking at the picture I took at the beginning of the Body for Life Challenge and the pain I still feel every time I try to do deep knee bends and how I can't because I have too much weight on me. Wanting to be pain free and healthy is what keeps me motivated. (And working around a bunch of slim health conscience women helps as well)
BB Accomplishments:
Just the fact that I used to get up five days a week at 4:30am to make it to the gym by 5am was a major accomplishment!

Ok...heres my update 6 months later. I cheated on and off. But believe it or not I have lost 2 pants sizes. Don't really think you can tell, but I can.
...I fell so far off the band wagon, its a shame but the crazy thing is....I am still losing weight...I think its stress. Ok, I thought I would be able to meet my goal but I might just a bit short. LOL its all good though. Some how I will manage to get back in the gym....somebody pray a good...
Basically, my workout program consists of Fast walking/Running (HIIT) 4-5 days a week and weight lifting 3 days a week. I also, manage to move around alot at work and lift a couple of boxes. My main goal everyday is to keep moving.
What up girl I just wanted to check in and see how your workouts are going? I hear you about those cheats they are killers. Just stay focused and on track I believe in you

Hey there Ms. Lady... I'm doing...got this nasty flu bug that's been doing the rounds, but I have been trying to do a little something in the gym nevertheless.. it's so darn hard when you're NOT feeling well! I'm making progress... hoping to be out of the 180's for good this week... it's been a long time coming, but I figure, if I do is slow and steady it'll be a FOREVER change!!! How bout you?
