My College Roomate was obsessed w/ Bodybuilding and what can I say, I caught the Iron bug.
Why I Love It:
I love the punishment. I love the war inside your head when you feel tired but you drive on, where you have distractions, but refocus and power through. I love walking into the gym, checking the outside world at the door, and battling the Iron.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation has never been a problem. My workouts are the highpoint of my day. I stay motivated by my progress, the challenge, the bb.com forum, and my stash of old Iron Age movies -Total Rebuild, aka. "The Comeback", is an especially great Arnold BB movie that a lot of people dont know about!
BB Accomplishments:
Since I started bodybuilding, I have put on +30 pounds of lean muscle, learned SOOO much, and built up power, strength, and endurance that I never before had.

Long Term Goal: general health and fitness with an emphasis on size, strength, flexibility, and general athleticism.
A famous physique that I would say most exemplifies what I want for myself would be the body of Frank Zane. I am not trying to every be 5'10" +240 pounds, but if I can look like Zane did at 190lbs when he won the Mr. Olympia, I will be more than pleased!
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 16 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
9%
Upcoming Contest:
The Arnold Classic -Not competing, but ya gotta look good!
I like to mix it up and use various types of proteins throughout the day.
Which type do you think is best and why?
I like to mix it up

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I have strained my lower back and my neck, 1 time each on seperate occasions. Recovery time was about a week for the back and about 3 days for the neck
This is the basic scheme for the workout I have been using for the past couple years. http://bodybuilding.com/fun/hugo7.htm I have modified it slightly and switch things around, but I employ the same attack that Hugo lays out. It’s a great program that I would recommend highly.
I'll post them pics in due time, sir. In the meantime, I'm going to buy myself some time, bulk up like a mofo, and muster up the courage to put decent progress pics. 40lbs is a lofty goal, and I'm not one to put on mass quickly, but I've set my diet right so that it doesn't become impossible. Only time could tell, I guess. But I definitely agree about the Army and gaining weight: I was eating like crazy when I was at Ft. Lewis during the past month, and I still managed to lose 10 lbs.
That's great man. It's always nice running into another guy who has been through the same stuff. I compete tomorrow and then it's back to work. Ready to gain some weight back. I have been around 270 offseason but I am planning on going up to 280lbs this offseason to make my run at nationals.
