My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

Variety

My workout plan is there is no plan. I always try something new constantly switching weights, reps, and excercises from week to week. One week I may bench in sets until I reach 100 reps. The next I may do 245 for 5 sets of 3. The next week I may strictly do dumbbells. Same goes for legs, one week I may do squats the next leg presses. Back I may use barbells one week, cables the next week, and machines the week after that. I do cardio at least twice a week for at least 30 minutes. I play basketball a lot when I'm home. I should do more. I often use this site to try new things like kinetic triple drops, abdominal workouts and the science of arms. I just read the 21 article and will try that in my next arm workout. Overall I've been workout out since I started college in 2000. I honestly don't do it for size, I just love being in the gym. Gym Rat for life.

Eat to live, not live to eat.

A couple of years ago I was in the gym with a friend of mind discussing abs. I said I eat too many honey buns. He said I hadn't had one of them in forever. I've always read that abs come from your diet not your workout. I recently adopted a low carb diet. No breads, no rice, or potatoes. Nothing white. I usually eat a meat some vegeatebles and a fruit. Oatmeal and some meat and fruit for breakfast. Since I started the low carb eating habits I've watched my abs developed and I didn't do anything different in my workout either. I honestly need to eat less candy, I don't drink soda, but you have to have your vices.
