When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
My first attempt at getting "In shape" came about after the birth of my last child (6 years old now). I dieted and worked out on my own (mostly cardio) before I hired a trainer. With her help I dropped 30 more pounds and put on tons of muscle. I loved my results so much that I became a personal trainer myself. Back then, about 5 years ago, I wanted to enter my first competition. However life got in the way and my dream of competing ended when my marriage did. After the split I had to go to work full-time in order to support myself.
Training others from the wee hours of the morning into the late evening made me to exhausted to workout with any consistency. During this time I gained about 20 lbs. Soon school interupted my life again, but only for the better. I graduated from college. Today my life and job are stable and I can now devote the time and energy into making that dream a reality.
Why I Love It:
Theres nothing like seeing your body transform into lean sexy muscle!
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at magazines like "Oxygen" and "Muscle and Fitness for Her". Just seeing the photos of the women and how great they look keeps me going. Also the knowledge that I've done it before.
