When I Started:
Feb, 2008
How I Started:
I got started because of many years of waking up with back pain so bad I could hardly breathe. I currently have a 19 month old Granddaughter and I cannot keep up with her. My knees hurt constantly and I get winded very easily. I am starting so I can watch my Grandchildren grow up and I can be able to do things with them.
Why I Love It:
Right now I love working out because of the way I feel afterwards. I am more calm, relaxed and I feel good about myself. I still may not look the way that I want to but I know I am one day closer.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep a picture of my Granddaughter on my dresser, in my car, and in my locker at the gym to remind me why I am working out. I not only want to be healthy for me, but for her as well.

I just wanted to stop by and inquire as to how my friend Chyanna is doing? How are your workouts going? How goes your battle with MS? I got a hundred questions but most of all I want to wish you all the best and for you to stay strong and focused. Let me know if there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance. May God bless.
Hey Chyanna, just wanted to say thank you for letting me into your friend list. How are you doing? Have you set a new goal yet? I am working on putting up some progress pictures by late September. That will give me time to reach some goals. Look forward to hearing how you are doing. Talk to you later.
Well, don't give up. Ask your doctor about what you can do to counter the effects of the medicine. Set a new goal and work on that one. If you don't reach it just set a new one. You can only lose when you give up. Let me know what your new goal is and I can cheer you on. Thanks for writing back.
Sorry to comment again right away. I just noticed your from Lincoln, NE. I lived there most of my life and in Wahoo, NE. I am also a Web Designer, lol. Currently going to Missouri Western State University. Well anyway, good luck with you goals.
Wow! Great work. I just noticed your progress report for weight loss. Looks like you have been kicking some butt the last few months. Can't wait to see your final results. Later Gator
hi Linda...just wanted to say helo and see how you are doing. Don't give up no matter what is going on. Stop by to say hello the next time you check in. :)
I just dropped by to see how you are doing and to wish you focus, strength and determination.
Remember what Henry David Thoreau wrote: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
Hey, well done just getting started. That makes you a winner already by doing something for yourself.
You will feel better as time goes by, it will not happen in a few weeks, it took a long time for you to get to the shape you are now and it will take time to come off, but it will come off and you will play with your grandkids.
In a few weeks you will knock the socks off the others in your class because you have a heap of online friends that will back you all the way.
KEEP AT IT
I wish you the very best of luck with all of your goals. I suggest you talk to some of the nice ladies on this site, as they are very knowledgeable, and also very approachable of this issues. Have fun!
My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% to 10% bodyfat in only 12 weeks by following the Body for Life program. You will have to push yourself because it’s not super easy but it’s still not so hard that you can’t reach your goals. We are both here for you if you wish to give us a yell.
