How I Started:
I recognized that I could no longer get by with the casual approach to fitness that I had in my younger days. The mirror and photographs made this clear. Achieving and maintaining fitness requires work!
Why I Love It:
I value the energy and stamina that I gain. I like seeing the transformations take place.
How I Stay Motivated:
I receive great support from my lovely wife and I am motivated when she notices the positive changes in my physique. I am also encouraged by the great people on this site and the encouragement they provide. Keeping track of results also helps a lot. It provides the smaller rewards of seeing incremental improvements in strength and gives me the determination to push myself harder.
BB Accomplishments:
Lost 25 pounds over the past 1-1/2 years and more recently have seen measureable strength gains. But in deference and respect for the true BB's on this site, I do not think that those really qualify as Major BB accomplishments, but that's all there is for now.

Goal (Long):
As of January 18, 2009 I have completed 7 weeks of a 12 week challenge to myself. I plan to eat clean and workout 6 days per week for 12 weeks straight. The goal is to achieve an increase in strength and gradual decrease in bodyfat, particularly around midsection.
My current workout includes 75 Dumbbell Bench Press for reps, a total of 5 sets. Approaching my goal of 80 lb dumbbell bench for reps.
Another important goal is to increase the number of chinups and pullups that I can do. Current Chinup workout is 14/10/8/6 reps. Current Pull up workout is 8/7/6/5 reps. These are typically done on different days.

just a few tris this year. i'm going to do some crossfitting and work on more sustainable dieting habits. bbing is just not fitting into my life or budget at the moment...
