When I Started:
How I Started:
I loved martial arts when I was younger and I wanted to be like Bruce Lee lol =) My dad used to lift for fun, so he showed me the ropes to weightlifting. I fell in love with working out ever since.
Why I Love It:
Working out gives you such a great feeling of accomplishment, whether its crushing heavy weights, getting a runner's high after a long run, or just finishing a demanding workout. When I'm in the gym, it's my own personal sanctuary- just me, my mp3 player, and the weights!
How I Stay Motivated:
I draw motivation from a few sources. First, I keep a calendar on my wall in my bedroom with everything I want to achieve for each day of the month, and I make sure to follow through with whatever is written down. Second, whenever I see people working out hard in the gym, it makes me want to work out even harder. Lastly, I'm inspired by other people's journeys, what they've gone through, where they are at, and what they are planning on achieving for themselves.
