How I Started:
I got inspired to start working out by my boyfriend. I have always worked out - either cardio or lifting weights but never consistently. Over the past year I realized I need to make it a habit in order to lose weight and get healthy.
Why I Love It:
The morning after a hard workout when you are sore and can hardly get out of bed. Let's me know I did a good job. I also love progress pics! Seeing where I am and where I came from are great motivators for me!
I love flipping through the pages of magazines like Oxygen - great role models!
Plus this site has a great atmosphere . . .everyone is so encouraging :)
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing people that are fitter than me! If they can do it so can I! Being put to a challenge and accomplishing it!
And the tap on the bottom from my guy saying I look great doesn't hurt either ;)
BB Accomplishments:
Completed my first 5k on 10/3/09! I'm hooked . . .training for my next one on 10/31/09!

Goal (Long):
Overall, I would like to lose between 25-30 lbs. and gain muscle definition especially in my arms, abs, and back. Need to learn how to eat clean and make exercise a daily habit!
I have started eating alot healthier and have dropped a few pounds just from that. I also reopened my gym membership. My boyfriend has become an avid runner and I would love to be right there next to him!

So today I figured out that if you have your gym clothes and protein shake already to go in your car when you drive home from work, you are more likely to go to the gym. Duh! Last night I did a little preparation and it paid off today!
I haven't logged on in a while, sorry. Check for Bodyflow, it's a tai chi, yoga, pilates class that is totally awesome. Weight lifting never changed my body the way that flow has.
I think your goals are very reasonabe and quite attainable! Honestly, I have gotten in great shape with weight watchers and some really great aerobics classes. Have you heard of Body pump? It's a good one!
Best of your luck with your goals girl!!! Just take it one work out at at a time and you can reach your goal in no time. I have found setting small goals is the best way to go.
