Overall Goal: Working on refining my bench, always benched flat and keeping a solid arch is definately a new challenge. Also slowly getting Squat and Deadlift up to par. Training more powerlifting oriented for the moment.

When I Started:
2005
How I Started:
I started like many did. I was a scrawny teenager and I had friends who got into lifting. I didn't know a damn thing about lifting but I knew I didn't want to stay thin.
Why I Love It:
I love pushing myself. And it acts as a wonderful stress reliever. I can't get enough of it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look in the mirror every day and decide that I could always be bigger. I always maintain my long term goal of 405/500/500 for bench/deadlift/squat.

Goal (Long):
I'd like to hit 405 for a 1RM on the flat bench. I'd like to hit 500 in the squat and the deadlift. Unfortunately I need to gain a lot of ground with my squat and deadlift as I've been doing them for a relatively short amount of time. I didn't know a lot about lifting until Spring or so of 2008 and therefore didn't hit every muscle like I should have.
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I can't say it has much. My family seems to get some pride in me being a semi-big guy but they're not a huge fan of me consuming all of our meat.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
It's improved a lot of my emotional well being. I used to be a lot more down about life in general but the constant accomplishments and goals feel great. And it lets off a lot of stress. It changes more than I remember to update. The only general consistency is that it's always been a 4 day split. For the moment I'm using Wendler's 5/3/1.
