When I Started:
1997
How I Started:
I began teaching aerobics after I finished college. I really only seriously started on weights about two years ago, since then I have competed in three figure competitions.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling I get during the work out, the rush that comes with lifting more and more. I also love the results that can be achieved through weight training. I am in complete control of my body inside and out!
How I Stay Motivated:
I continuously set new goals. For example participating in a competition, getting ready for a vacation, squatting a little extra weight...
BB Accomplishments:
Competing!
To be able to dedicate so much time and effort to training and eating during contest preparation, and then to show off the results on stage made me very proud.
It has been a long time, but I am ready to begin again, preparing for a September!
Goal (Long):
After a couple of years off, not wanting to know anything about competition, refocus and be at my best for September 2009. I put on a good ten pounds in this year training hard and eating well, lose the fat keep the muscle and hopefully place top 5 next fall!
Today the low carbs got me! I had a major meltdown, did not want to compete anymore, nothing was working and I was no longer seeing any progress! Really tough day. I was mad at my trainer (for no reason) and I just wanted out! So I sent her an email saying that I could not go on for 7 more...
Oh no, I'm glad that it worked out, I'd hate to see someone quit who can do so much! The body will definitely let you know when it needs something! I was having bad joint and muscle pains last week and couldn't figure out why. I had been craving red meat for some weeks so I've eaten 3 oz of 95% lean ground beef a day for the past three days and I don't hurt at all anymore! Take care
I was not aware of a fitness model category. Thank you so much for you help. I will look into it. What show in the states would be a good idea to enter?
Thanks Chantie, that seems to be the general explanation I've received. You should never do anything to mess up that lovely figure you have. Thanks again..
