Background

When I Started: Sep 2006
HOW I STARTED:

I was in the process of getting dumped by an ex-boyfriend and feeling pretty crappy. I realized I HAD to do something about the weight I had gained over the few months I was seeing him. It started as a 'I'll show him' and ended up as a 'Wow, I look and feel amazing!'

WHY I LOVE IT:

It's always a challenge to see how many reps I can pump out on my max weight.

Monday: Legs & Cardio
Tuesday: Triceps, Shoulders, Chest & cardio
Wednesday: Back, biceps, shoulders and cardio
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Supersets of back, shoulders, arms & cardio
Saturday: cardio
Sunday: off

As just starting to lose weight I needed inspiration as to how lose that weight. Casagal has similar height and frame as me. I realized that even at 130lbs she still has curves. I was afraid when I lost weight I would lose all my feminine curves. So she has been a huge help to inspire and motivate me to begin my weigh loss journey.

Heading into the 70's on my DB Bench

It's official:Today I moved into the 70's on the DB Press.

Increasing my DB Shoulder Press

Today I broke through another barrier...increased my DB Shoulder Press from 80 to 90 lbs (well, 3 reps, but it's a great start!) Hopefully in the next month I'll be able to get up to 100 lbs.

Increasing my DB Bench Press

Finally made it to pressing 60 lbs dumbells on my own, no spotter. Took a chance this morning and pushed out three reps at 120 lbs.  The men around me were simply amazed, lol.
