Overall Goal: I am now healed. I am: 100% solid fused, 100% committed to being healthy again, cleared hot for take off by my surgeon.... this should be fun!!

I had actually started out wanting to compete back in 1988 but due to money restraints and divorcing parents it just wasn't going to happen.
Fast Forward... On a cruise two years ago my beautiful husband challenged me saying that if I could get in good enough shape to compete and place he would buy me a new diamond ring for our 10th anniversary I thought he was full of it but he did make good on his promise and I am sporting some pretty nice bling now *lol*
Why I Love It:
Being fit is its own reward. I tend to ascribe to the saying "nothing tastes as good as fit feels" and nothing could be more true.
The #1 reason that I bounced back from my cervical neck unjury as well as I did was because I was so fit going into surgery.... otherwise I would have been way worse off all the way around when I got back into training....
To my husband.... Thank you Bean for believing in me and getting me through it! Now I just want to make you proud to be married to a Cougar *lol*
How I Stay Motivated:
Once you have competed you wake up every morning and look at your body with the most critical eye. Am I gaining where I want to or where I don't? As long as I can do a bikini some justice I have no problem getting myself to the gym and eating properly.
BB Accomplishments:
Aside from competing I think that my greatest accomplishment so far is getting through this cervical spinal surgery and the resulting PT with only two major setbacks. I am now 8 months post op 87% fusion solid and already itching to start working to compete again. Was given a no limitations order by the surgeon last week so look out! here I come again!!
