When I Started:
Nov, 2007
How I Started:
I am returning to working out/fitness after a 6 year hiatus, looking forward to reclaiming my body from the mass of fat that is currently laying seige to my vital organs!
Why I Love It:
I love the sense of accomplishment after a hard run or good lifting session, how great is that?!
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife and kids. I am responsible not only for my health, but the health of my family. As I have declined into the pit of fat and laziness I have dragged my family down with me, so now its time to begin the long climb out into the light...
BB Accomplishments:
My best effort was about 8 years ago, I then weighed 165 lbs, bench pressed 285 lbs, ran two miles in 12:20 and could do pull ups for days... those days are a distant memory now, but I'm heading back, after 8 years off, I just completed a six mile run on Monday, the longest run I've done in almost a decade! I'm pumped!

Well, its the cold hard truth, this is where I am, but NOT where I'm going to be!
I know this isn't a true progress pic, they were both taken on the same day, but this is a good motivation for myself, I will update the pics in 30 days and every 30 after that...

Goals:
Main Goal:
Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
I'm currently training to lose bodyfat primarily, while lifting weights as well to lose weight. Once I'm down to 185, I'm going to focus on lowering cardio and focusing on gaining more musclue!
Goal (Long):
When I met my wife I was in great shape, working out about 2-3 hours a day and feeling great! I also was eating anything and everything I wanted, burgers, chile, donuts, you name it, and in LARGE quantities. It wasn't a big deal, I couldn't gain weight, or so I thought. However, once I was married I worked out less and less, until all of a sudden I didnt work out at all. Then to my horror I found that I could gain weight, but not the good kind. Over 6 years of sedentary living I've gained almost 60 lbs of fat and lost all strength and endurance in the process. To make matters worse, my wife also left the gym and joined me on the couch, we are best friends and don't do anything apart, so thanks to my laziness she gained weight as well and also has a long road to go to get back healthy. (Although she is doing great and has already lost 100 lbs!) So, to support my wife, rejoin life and just plain be able to enjoy my family (Beautiful wife and two amazing sons) I'm reclaiming my health, One mile at a time! It feels good to be running again, despite how slow I currently am. As the great Huey Lewis sang, "I'm doing it all for my baby, for everything she does for me"
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 35 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8%

Ok, I know alot of people don't buy the whole video series programs, but WOW, I've been working out with P90X this week and MAN it is killer! I can lift weights and run till the cows come home and yes, I get tired at the end, but with P90X I'm way past tired, my rear is kicked and I'm dragging...

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for adding me to your friend list. Let me know how the Hydroxycut Hardcore works for you. I just ordered the Lipo 6 and hope to get them tomorrow or Thursday. I'm looking forward to putting up some progress pics late September. I know what you mean about being responsible for the family and climbing out of the pit. But with hard work and consistency we will both see the light again, soon. Talk to you later.
