I was sent 3 pictures of me last christmas, (christmas of 2007). Pictures that showed me what I looked like when i was a bit younger, more muscle, alot less fat. It spoke to me, because when I looked into the mirror I wanted to see the same person I did in those pictures, but instead I saw a blob. My decsion was made then to get back into shape and take controll of my health again and this time to make it a life style change I would stick to also.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy watching as my body goes through the transformation of what it was before I began, and what is is today. Bodybuilding puts the hammer and chisel in my hannds to etch out the masterpiece I see myself to be in the mirror everyday, and then Allows me to put it up for show as I go out and enjoy my life each day.
How I Stay Motivated:
Every week, I get compliments that give positive reinforcement. They come from Family, friends, and Co-workers. Also A ex-girlfriend after giving me the boot even tried to start things back up with me after viewing my pictues I put on my myspace page. She could not beleive the weight I lost and asked If I would consider trying things out again. I smiled, thanked her for the compliment but had to decline her offer. I am the same man i was then when her and i were together, but she never took the time to see through the rough edges. Now that they are getting smoothed out she wants to get back I dont think so.
BB Accomplishments:
My biceps. The were nothing but flabs of fat, and now when I flex my biceps look good.
What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Personally i have not begun doing them yet but I think any of the exercises that you can do to work and isolate your neck muscle are proubly the most critical. If not done correctly they can really mess you up from what I have read about them.Personally i have not begun doing them yet but I think any of the exercises that you can do to work and isolate your neck muscle are proubly the most critical. Arrived early ( 7am) at the gym to avoid the crowd. Worked great. Decided to combine Back and Shoulder routine today and here is what I did and how it worked out.
After a 10 min warmup on the treadmill, I began with shoulders, doing upright rows, 2 warm up sets at 50lbs + bar wt x 8 slow...
This is a work in progress. My body lets me know if The exercises work for me, or are a waste. If I dont get a good pump, or if I dont feel sore the next day at all, then the exercises gets dumped and I begin to find another.
Also to note, I dont just want to bulk up or slim down, but...
