How I Started:
I got started working out when I was in high school with a weight bench my parents got me for Christmas. When I went off to college two years later my roommates were all collegiate athletes and they showed me how to up the intensity of my workouts. I've been hooked since then.
Why I Love It:
It's a great stress relief and I like how you can see and feel the results each workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated every day whenever I see someone in better shape (perceivedly). I challenge myself to continue to stay in shape, to stay active, to stay fit, and be in excellent physical condition.
BB Accomplishments:
In the first 5 years after I started training I put on 50 lbs of muscle. In the 17 years that have followed I've maintained my weight and bodyfat save for two very short periods of time around two serious injuries.

I think my body is pretty good as it is now but I'd like to make it pop a bit more. At the same time I want to make it functional for competing in sports. I've always wanted six pack abs and I'm close but need a little more work to get there. But I don't want to sacrifice my size or strength to get there. My goal is to get there by summer while also reaping the benefits of being stronger, more agile, and with more endurance.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I like having a workout partner because it helps you need motivation and it also helps motivate you to go to the gym when you have someone motivated depending on you to be there for them. It's also nice to have a spotter for really challenging yourself.I like having a workout partner because it helps you need motivation and it also helps motivate you to go to the gym when you have someone motivated depending on you to be there for them. What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I try not to but sometimes a little grunt will come out. I'm not really a fan of it just to do it.

Why I like this video: Just because I'm tired of all the Ronnie Coleman feats of strength videos out there. Keep in mind this guy weighs only 198 lbs which is probably about 60 lbs lighter than Mr. Coleman.
Well, the other night I was looking at my profile and some of the comments on there and realized it has been six weeks since I've hit the gym. At that time I was hard charging too. So, I went from the penthouse to the outhouse in the blink of an eye...figuratively speaking. I've been...
One of the gyms I go to one of the guys has a lot of strongman equipment so I incorporate that kind of training sometimes into my routine. Most places will give tires away and I guess thats how he got it. If you wanna do some heavy ass lifting give me a heads up sometime.
