My biceps are naturally peaked and round, so im probably not the best person to ask...but...I have had the best results with reps in the 8-10 range. About 3 exercises. One example would be standing EZ curls for 3 sets of 8, followed by 3 sets of reverse curls with a barbell, and finishing up with 3 sets of either single arm cable curls or hammer curls with a rope (cable). I never exceed about 9 sets for biceps, not counting warm ups.My biceps are naturally peaked and round, so im probably not the best person to ask...but...I have had the best results with reps in the 8-10 range. What tricep workout has worked best for you?
I would have to say that skullcrushers packed the most meat on my arms in the shortest period of time. I often credit them with building my arms. Other things are great too, such as cable pressdowns with a rope/vgrip/straight bar, but if your elbows can handle it skullcrushers should be a part of any beginners program. I do mine the way arnold does in his encyclopedia of bodybuilding. Basically lie on a bench and instead of coming straight down to the forehead, put your arms out further and hang your head off the bench a bit. Then come to the forehead, this keeps constant stress on the triceps throughout the movement.I would have to say that skullcrushers packed the most meat on my arms in the shortest period of time. What calf workout has worked best for you?
I do a pretty routine 8-9 sets for calves. Usually with a weight i can do for 10-12 and really get a burn. I occasionally go heavier, occasionally lighter, but 10-12 is my mainstay. A great calf workout is to pick a weight you can barely do for 20, then after that set rest just about 10 seconds until the burning subsides. Continue this until you reach 75 reps...your calves will be screaming.I do a pretty routine 8-9 sets for calves. Usually with a weight i can do for 10-12 and really get a burn. Surfing the web today and went to frankzane.com. Wow, what a physique. Definitely my idea of the perfect physique. I am leaning more and more toward lean aesthetic physiques, which is probably a good thing since im very small framed myself. I also found that i liked his physique more when he...
