I completed an Ironman triathlon in 2001. After many struggles with injuries and a downward spiral of motivation, I gained 15lbs of fat and couldn't run 10 miles to save my life. With new aspirations of being more buff than ever, I started to take my fitness seriously again in December of 2006.
Why I Love It:
I like the idea of strength from the inside being manifested on the outside.
How I Stay Motivated:
A glance in the mirror or a smile from my wife.
BB Accomplishments:
...give me some time.

Well, this has been a challenging weekend. On the 4th, I was up at 3:30AM to get in my workout before getting my son up for a 7:30AM parade. By the time I got home from the gym it was 6AM and I got my son up, we ate, and were ready to go by 6:40. (I won't mention what time my wife was...
LOL at your comment - sadly the guy is away on a motorcycle adventure, but I'm staggering the unpacking so I have more stuff to do when I get home after work. :) I hope you had a wonderful weekend, my friend!
I play in 2 competitions (organised) 1 on Wed am and the other on Sun pm, we also train on Thurs nights. I play forward and my big strength is rebounding Today I played 4 games, I am pretty tired but happy because we came 2nd...lol. How are you going?? Clare
THREE things I did today to make myself feel better can all fall under the general umbrella of...!!! Making other people smile. LMAO, that sounds cheesy and stupid. :P I flirted with a harmless guy at lunch, I stopped to talk to this woman who looked like she was having a really crappy day, and I complimented a woman on her shoes. Hehehehe. Those things all brought me joy. :)
Thanks bro, but I'm done with the blog, workout tracker, and I'm not too much into the forum stuff. Thanks again, keep training hard! Looks like you have a great start, stay motivated!
I considered having a protein shake preworkout, but I digest them WAY too quickly, and about 20 minutes into my workout, I get SUPER hungry! It's miserable. :( For some reason, plain Greek yogurt seems to give me a nice steady flow of energy. I LOVE IT!!! :D Thanks for all your advice. You're terrific!!! :D
I would have to say munchie. It was the nickname my father gave me as a toddler. He wasn't a part of my life much after that age so it means more to me than just a nickname. (ok, more info than you probably wanted. lol)
But Jay!! Hehehee!!! Doing the things I've already done hasn't worked! Being me as I am right now (and the me I have been in the past!) hasn't made me new friends. So clearly, there is something that can be improved. OR another way I can go about it? I dunnoooo!!
Haha, we had to eventually do that at a previous department because someone burnt toast in the toaster oven... and most of the folks had Ph.D.'s!! But, I do understand the safety issues...
