Gain muscle and lose fat through diet changes and a sound workout plan.
Goal (Long):
I have been all but starving myself of carbs and fats. Taking a ton of thermogenic enhancers, diet pills, fat blockers, and carb blockers. In doing so I have been able to maintain a very low weight and with my intense working out managed to build some nice lean looking muscle. Although, recently (after a cruise and 6 months of this regimine)I began to cheat. Which lead to more cheating than eventually I was catching myself completely over indulging. I began to pack on pounds fast. But I was still working out religiously. It seemed that the weight I was gaining was all fat..and I carry in my back for some reason. If you don't know, on a tiny little 5'3" girl with toothpick legs and no rear it doesn't look so hot.
So, my goal here is to cold turkey it with ALL the pills, start eating a proper diet for building muscle, taking in much more protein and working on coming up with a workout plan/rest plan that will work out for the long haul. Through this website I am already gaining a ton of knowledge and I am super excited to reach my goals and feel a lot better.
Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
but I am from the south so they all just think I am CRAZY!! They love a little extra meat "AKA FAT" on their bones.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
It's not about how great others think you look in those jeans, but will they still fit when your 60? Ha ha..jk. I love my kids and I want to be a good example for them throughout their lives. When you are healthy and fit everything else just seems to come together. Your brain functions better, your risk of "you name it deseases" goes WAY down, you feel better emotionally, and you have an attainable goal which builds magnificent character! What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?
The absolute weirdest thing is happening. Maybe someone can help me figure this out.
Okay for a while now everytime I went to the gym I was stronger then the time before. Even when I felt tired or just ilmotivated I was still improving. Recently I started running and training for a...
My workout is still in the "figuring out what works best" stage.
I do Cardio 3 days a week...
Day 1 ..Intense..Run/climb 200+ flights of stairs then I run about 2-3 miles at a pretty good pace usually around 7-7.5 on a treadmill.. Sometimes alternating between an incline of 3 and back...
well if it helps you out any...my youngest turned 10 yesterday and I can handle not eating any kind of cake except the dreaded chocolate crock pot cake!!!! And of course guess what he wanted for his birthday...yeap...and YES I had some with icecream!!!! WELL worth the extra time put in on the elliptical!!!
Ok I would love to give you words of encouragement but to be honest...I am very envious right now!!! I am from South Louisiana but am sitting in Georgia reading about your awesome crawfish...my view...enjoy every little bite and hit it hard when you get home that is what I would do... :)
You've got a nice small frame to work with. It looks like your body is well proportioned. Good luck with your goals and don't be afraid of a little muscle! :)
