How I Started:
My abuelito was a bodybuilder/boxer/trainer...I grew up around hard bodies..although I can't say I fully appreciated it when I was a kid. He had a full on gym in the basement of his home and the guys would come to his place to train for boxing /football, etc. I think that is where my fascination w/lifting started...

I'm currently trying public humiliation for that...lol I am truly motivated..but a few external motivational forces surely can't hurt!

I've lost 40 lbs so far in 2008 and kept it off! No backtracking for me.

Goal (Long):
I am going to do this by sticking to an organized workout schedule..lifting at least 3x/weekly and doing cardio. I also have adopted a new way of eating which is to completely eliminate processed foods. I've been pretty good at eating healthy foods...but now I've tightened that rule up for myself..AND have started using portion control. My portions before were ridiculous and now I'm done w/that madness and eating properly. Starting today I am also going back to drinking water/am coffee only..no more diet sodas, juice..etc. I am re-stating my goal to 10 lb increments...just trying to make the milestones come a little more frequently so I don't get down about the bigger picture...
