When I Started:
May, 2008
How I Started:
I started working out when I was in third grade; however, it wasn't weight lifting that I was doing, it was running track. I ran for twelve years won a silver medal in the junior Olympics and competed in 3 national championships in college. This past year was hard on me for a lot of different reasons. Most of which was due to my body braking down, and I felt like I was forty when I was only twenty. This summer I decided I wasn't going to run anymore which was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. SO, in place of track I started lifting and now I can't stop.
Why I Love It:
I love working out do to the simple fact that I love to take care of my body. I have always believed that you should treat your body like the temple of God because the bible tells us we should. Working out and eating healthy have become a huge obsession to me. At school people see me as Mr. Healthy and I like the fact that my life style has been notice and some actually duplicate it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by looking around at the other guys at the gym and seeing their intensity. It just makes me want to go that much harder.
BB Accomplishments:
My major bodybuilding accomplishment was going back home and people having to take a double look at me because I have change so much. I used to be the skinny awkward kid and now I'm not. People come ask me how I got so big and I get to tell them all about it. I still have a long, long, long way to go, but I feel like I'm on the right track.
