How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
About a minute. I do want my muscles to have enough time to completely relax, but I still want to give them enough rest in order to get the max amount of weight during each set.

I'm not sure if you can find a picture for it. Its a therapy motion for shoulders. It works for muscle buildng to though.
