How I Started:
My new year's resolution for 2008 is to transform my body and loose 30 pounds. I have never enjoyed working out and I hope to create new and exciting ways to exercise and challenge my body.
Why I Love It:
Seeing the results. Knowing that I am in control.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband serves as my teacher. He keeps me on track.
I want to loose 30 pounds and build muscle so that I look great!
Goal (Long):
I want to be one of those women who always turns heads. I want to be in a position where I feel in control of my body and can influence how I look. Most importantly, I want to maintain the results and create a lifelong hobby from this.
On Monday, 1/7 I began feeling very ill. Since then I have been in bed trying to sleep the darn thing off. Today is Thursday and I am beginning to wonder if I will be able to kick this bug or not. The impact on my body has been tremendous. I have lost my appetite, strength and willpower to...
Initially, my workout program will consist of cardio 5 days a week. I intend to utilize a treadmill at home, running and the cardio equiptment in the community clubhouse gym. I will then add weights after the introduction phase.
I am rolling. How are you doing? I worked out for two hours yesterday. I had so much energy to burn. It felt great! My 12 year old went with me. I am trying to stay focused. I am going today after basketball with my girl. Weekends are hard...eating wise>> kids and all. Let me know how you are!!
to "start" I did full body circut training 5 days a week, sometimes 6, after 6 months, went into the weight room and pushed the men out of the way...now its MINE.hahaaaaaaa!
I wish you much success in your quest to get fit. I recommend that you combine weight lifting, some form of cardio and a good nutrition plan as you will be amazed at the changes and the speed at which they can occur. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax)and I used the Body for Life program and had great results; you might want to give it a look-see. Stay strong and believe in yourself and what you can accomplish. Give me a yell if you wish.
Welcome and good luck reaching your goals. If you want quicker results you might consider incorporating weight lifting into your exercise from the get-go rather than just doing cardio at first. You can get get stronger and fitter very fast when you start weight lifting. Whatever you do, best of luck!
