How I Started:
When I was younger (10 or so), I used to see how many push-ups and sit-ups I could do in 30 seconds and 1 minute. In high school and college I played football and wrestled, so off-season workouts were a must.
I returned to the world of iron in May of 2007 to begin a new journey in my quest to be healthy and fit. It had been over 5 years since I’d last thrown the iron around. Now a little older and wiser (hopefully), I have a newfound perspective, motivation, and determination to stay healthy and fit.
Why I Love It:
I love the adrenaline rush from a good hard workout or throwing up heavier weight than you did a month ago. There is such a sense of accomplishment leaving the gym with your muscles all pumped from a good workout, especially when you initially didn’t feel like working out that day.
How I Stay Motivated:
All of the beautiful, fit, and muscular bodies on BodySpace are a great source of motivation.

Staying motivated and determined to be healthy and fit.

This pic is about 3 months after I started working out again. Drastically changed my diet and was seeing good progress in abs. Don't have a pic from when I originally started.
Nearly 4 months of bulking, 15 lbs. heavier, and still managed to stay pretty lean. Very happy about that. Back to cutting down to see if I achieved any muscle gains and so I don't have to buy bigger clothes! ;-)

Goal (Long):
SUMMER GOAL: Cut down to 165-168 lbs while maintaining the muscle mass gained during my bulk. 6-7% bodyfat by the end of May.
LIFE GOAL: Stay committed and focused to maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. Not allow my job to consume me and my time. Keep life in perspective and focus on the things most important to me (family, friends, working out, healthy lifestyle, and helping others).
Well I have decided that my bulking time is over. This is earlier than I anticipated. Not that I wasn't enjoying myself... its just that all my clothes are getting way too tight! I am definitely happy with the results. I gained 15 lbs, made great strength gains, appear to be bigger than...
Hey bud! YOu got some info on bulking...I am 5'10 and 160 currently not sure how much I should try to gain, not sure how to do it correctly or how long a bulk phase should last. I am sure you are busy but any info would be appreciated. THANKS!!
thanks...i have been workin hard and keeping the diet in check :) did you start cutting yet? i cant wait to see all the hard earned muscle you've put on! i hope ya had a great easter...and treated yourself to a little candy :p
HAHA. well. not in a year or so. But, yea totally intense subject. Week was good. Making some research and cleaning progress. So, better than the week before!
haha rest/relax days are cardio days :) Otherwise nope.. :)
Thanks for the comment, I'm only good at tinting pictures..haha.. a friend of mine made the transparent rose background w/ me in it display pic.. other than that i'm worthless at it..oh and i can crop pictures too :)
