Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
On June 5th 2009 I quit, no I STOPPED, smoking. My goal for the first 6 months was not to gain a single pound since most ex-smokers gain a considerable amount of weight after quiting. Here is my journey............
Goal (Long):
I am quickly approaching the 5 month SMOKE FREE date. My weight when I STOPPED was 231 w/ 31.8% bodyfat(73.4lbs worth). I have cut my bodyfat down from 31.8% to 18.9%(43.3 lbs) and have lost just two pounds off the scale weight!!!! That's a 30 lb drop my friends!!! Now I have also cut out the coffee, sodas, fast food cereal late at night and just have really tried cleaning my nutrition up. Yes I do have my free meal or two here and there but overall no fancy diets, no fancy workout plan, just some dedication to consistancy in all facets of nutrition, weight training & sharing it with other people. I am not waiting for the 6th month to arrive and I am going for it ahead of schedule. Going to set a massive goal, for me. 10% bodyfat and I will again give myself 6 months. I could use all the information you all have on how to get there - naturally of course.

I know I know this guy inspires everyone because of his age & massive transformation. He inspires ME because I feel as if I am at the same place he was when he decided to make his transformation. I hope to gain more nutritional knowledge and cut right down to 10% so that I too can help someone who feels as if life is getting the best of them. SUPERMAN I am aiming to be you..... everyday!!! Thank you for making the change... I am inspired daily !!!!!

Keeps me motivated to see what can really be done with consistancy. If I feel as if I have nothing more to give I re-read Chris' profile. I am now working on dialing in the nutrition side of the training. PLUS Chris is Canadian ha ha ha my wifes family is too - she will begin training with me shortly - Thanks Chris.

patrick, congratulations on 6 months being smoke free. I quit smoking 2 years ago and smoked all through 5 years of college and afterward. one step at a time right. keep up the tough work, your goal set is a cool one:) it is easy to switch from one vice to another, keep that lack of up! you'll only get tougher in all areas.

carb cycling is eating moderate 2 low carbs 4-5 days then eating a higher carb intake 1-2 days to reset the metabolism.and ramp up the fat burning process. I only eat complex carbs either way.some have a cheat day and allow junk.2 dangerous 4 me!

Its really tough to give a general guideline to a good cutting diet. It comes from listening to your body and it took me a lot of trial and error listening to others. The one thing I did find was not sticking to an exact % everyday and cycling the carbs helped drop the weight the best. Send me a PM and I can make you a general diet to run by which should be a good start. Let me know your current goals as well as this dictates diet the most. ---Chris

Congrats on the weight loss so far, and more importantly, stopping smoking. Thats the best change so far. Send me a PM and let me know exactly what you are interested in, diet, training etc. ---Chris
