How I Started:
I had a friend who got me into it and get past that initial fear of getting started - dropped out for 3-4 years when he moved and picked it back up again on my own in '07. I didn't get serious about it until Summer of '08 and pretty much didn't have a clue what I was doing. I spent a lot of time researching and learning as much as I could and have just been building on that since. It has been a slow but steady climb from there.
Why I Love It:
I feel healthier and stronger at work (because I have a pretty physical job) and more confident everywhere else in public.
How I Stay Motivated:
I always though it was stupid to keep track of measurements and pictures and pretty much thought that was just for people who were stuck on themselves. I have since changed my ways and have been keeping better records of my progress. Seeing the results helps me know that progress really is happening.
