On July 24th I had surgery on my left elbow (bone spur and tricep tendon repair) I was couched for several weeks. In September in boarded a plane leaving Nashville TN. headed to Las Vegas, for several days I walked among some of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, Yes I attended the 2009 Olympia weekend. I felt fat and gross, thinking what have I done to my body? yes I let myself go using my arm as an excuse to eat **** and become a couch potato and not doing a damn thing in a gym that I own (sad but true). Since my return I have been on this web site every day looking to be inspired and or motivated. Then it hit me, I have it in me to do this, so for the past two weeks I have slowly worked myself by into a routine that my doctor and physical therapist are cool with. With all that off my chest, my short term goals are to work back to post surgery status. My longer term goals are to bulk up and reduce my bmi to under 10% I have posted a picture of me taken at the expo, where I can see it everyday as a reminder, just how gross I let myself become. I am committed and determined to reach my goals!!
What a great role model and example you are. You have and are still showing tremendous determination and strength. I congratulate you on all your efforts. You are a fantastic inspiration to so many others, myself included. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless.
Remember:
“Keep perspiring and inspiring!”
I am hoping to change careers and get into firefighting and I know that alot of their physical training goes around cross-fit so that's why I am trying to get more of it into my weekly training!
I think it is great. It gives a new side to training and helps change it up a bit.
Today is my leg day as well, looking forward to it. Had a cold last week and wasn't 100%, feeling better this week and ready to hit it hard. I hope your leg workout is good, happy crawling! lol Christmas is my birthday as well, so I am doubly blessed, the big 36 this year.
