When I Started:
Jun, 2007
How I Started:
Always been athletic. Worked out (hobby) & exercised my whole life. So staying fit was easy up until about age 27. Then I hit a wall & noticed my metabolism slowed & my body started to add fat. I was not happy with myself and realized later that my problem was all diet. I got fat and really struggled with my weight for several years with nothing really working long term for me. In Jul 07, I decided to finally do something abou it. At that point, I had already dropped about 20 lbs from my all time high weight of 205 lbs but was not satisified with how it "looked". I was running 3-5 miles a day for 4-5 days a week but was NOT disciplined with the diet & nutrition. Was still eating like I always had...pizza, burgers, etc... and it showed. I asked a friend how he got so lean and fit and he said he had bought the book "Body Rx," and was following it. So I went out and got it and now I pretty much adhear to it. I have had pretty good results.
Why I Love It:
I feel better! The results.
How I Stay Motivated:
The Results. Seeing positive results when I work hard as well as the negative results when I slack off. Setting and working hard to reach personal goals. Most impotantly to me, Christ Jesus my Lord.
BB Accomplishments:
My daughter said..."Daddy your not soft anymore when I hug you."
A little boy at the pool said... "You look STRONG" LOL. Pretty nice compliment I think.

Look at what he has accomplished. He knows it's mostly about diet and not just pushing a lot of weights. He has figured out what I have just started to apply myself. nice work B.
Went to a very cool store today called "MAX MUSCLE." (www.maxmuscle.com) What a great store and great business concept. Great staff who were excellent. While there, the staff offered me a free body fat check with a bicep electrode. How could I refuse that? SO I did it and...
This is generally what I do. Although I mix it up alot and do different things. Check out my w/o tracker for details on my program. Usually 5-8 different exercises on one or no more than 2 muscle groups in any workout.
B, this is my last visit on here till Oct. starts. We'll be talking at some point. Keep at it. (Ate a WHOLE bag of chips last night while watching Wolverine! Yeesch! LOL)
MercyMe ... J. Camp--awesome, God-honoring. Weather? not-so-good. First concert--frozen by a strong northern, Can. wind. Second night--soaked through by effects of Trop. Storm Bill. Kids hung in well, tho.
If you keep that diet roped in week to week, you'll be tripped at what happens dude. I was pretty blown away when I compared my most recent pics to that of June of last year. I weigh the same in both shots, but the change surprised me AND it is all about diet. Continue to be relentless.
