How I Started:
Got a good start in high school while playing football and the coaches introduced me to the weights. I have worked out (hobby) / exercised / played sports since then. I got pretty fat several years back and finally decided in Jul 07 that it was time to make some changes...major changes. In Jul 07 I had already dropped about 20 lbs from my all time high weight of 205 lbs but was not satisified with how I "looked". I also had good friends who loved weightlifting and sports like I did.
Why I Love It:
I know I feel better and I think I look better when I'm training. It absolutely positively affects my attitude. I also like how the discipline spills over into other aspects of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing positive results when I work hard as well as the negative results when I slack off. Watching others as they transform...very motivating. Reading good fitness / weight training articles. Setting and working hard to reach personal goals. Christ Jesus my Lord.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet...but at 37, I'm getting serious about this "hobby"

Goal (Long):
Honestly, ...I want my wife to drip with lust when she looks at me :) Additionally, I do want to be more healthy and feel good all the time physically, mentally, and spiritually. I am committed to making this a lifestyle change more than anything.
Just a quick update...tonight I squated 515lbs x 13 reps. The first rep was a little sloppy so I'm not going to count it so really only 12 good ones. Had a friend (Shakka - A true presence) spot me on it and would not have even tried it without a solid spotter. But all went well and...
Long time no chat buddy, how are you? Keeping the gym open? I'm trying myself. Had a good upper body workout today, did incline bench instead of flat and can feel a difference already.

Dude ... that is one cool avi! You have really made some progress bro. Your abs are starting to pop out there. Most impressive! I have got a Ruger .357, but I seriously doubt I could pull off the tough guy shots as well as you did. Keep it going!
only wish i had the time (and cash) to shoot more different guns. i've only shot a few. love my glock .40 though. need to find some time this summer to try out some new ones. let me know what you'd recommend.
Great progress shots, man. Seeing a guy like you that's already in what I consider great shape getting even more ripped is just more motivation for me. I've gotta get out of double-digits first, though.
