After high school, where I was an athlete, I lost my willingness to train. I had gotten soft and that bothered me. So, in January of 2003, I set out to get back in the gym. After several months of being the cardio bunny and lifting light weight and high reps, I got burnt out. About two years ago I got back into lifting heavy and have felt great since!
Why I Love It:
The gym gives me the time to relax and have my "me" time. No matter what is happening in my life or how stressed I am, the weights are always there.
How I Stay Motivated:
It goes in cycles. Now, I am coaching young kids. They know my plans so seeing them get excited about what I am doing keeps me going forward.
BB Accomplishments:
I love to BP and now rep 2 sets of 6 at 150lbs. That is pretty exciting.
