I was always a skinny kid (165 lbs at high school graduation) and adolescent and wanted to put on some muscle and stay in shape.
Why I Love It:
Working hard makes me feel good. As I have gotten older I have gotten smarter and learn from each workout and each day. I know that when I don't work out I feel like crap.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to stay in shape and be able to maintain and build muscle from age 50 and beyond. I am currently in the best shape and am the strongest I have ever been.
BB Accomplishments:
I got my wife and son interested. I think my daughter may jump in any time, she is becoming curious.
Forum Signature:
Be patient; the persistent work of a determined individual will bring great gain.
To clean up my diet, continue lifting and incorporate more cardio to bring out more muscle definition
Goal (Long):
I am currently around 215; I would like to maintain my current weight but continue to lose fat. As part of this, with current injuries, I need to design my weight workout to get maximum benefit from lighter weights.
8-12 up to 15 depending on the exercise. I have found this range of reps to bring on the best burn and muscle growth. I also try to extend my sets by doing drop sets or X-reps to really feel the burn.8-12 up to 15 depending on the exercise. I have found this range of reps to bring on the best burn and muscle growth. How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
At least a minute, but it depends on the workout.

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Mike O'Hearn. He is big and in shape but not overly huge like the Olympia bodybuilders.
Finishing off the week with a day of rest. This was another good week of workouts; after a month or so of power/density workouts with a 10 x 10 style of workouts, we switched it up this week to follow a power set with a higher rep density set. This is how it...
Been kicking it Old School in the Pound..changed up my routine and getting good results..shoulder is still sore..I guess I'll just live with it..How's your Training..????
Thanks Brady and thanks for the congrats to my son. I think it will be a great experience for him. I will let you know how the 5x5 works for me. I am following the Bill Starr template to the T and it shows at the end of 12 weeks a pretty good increase in the major lifts. We shall see.
I'm not completely sure about 5x5 - but the general idea is 5 lifts for 5 reps at heavy weights - it's supposed to be a great strength/mass workout. I'll be doing more research on the net and with other Bodyspacers I'm sure!
if you can find them, pls. send them to me, I prefer peer reviewed. I already had a few PhD's ding NO supplementation and I have not found anything yet to support "the claims". Cool research BTW!!
Searching around for research to support NO usage and have not found anything yet. So far I found: Plasma Nitrate/Nitrite Levels are Unchanged after Long-Term Aerobic Exercise Training in Older Adults on PubMed, if you have any place that you can direct me too, would you please send me a link. Thx.
Man the stuff has done the trick. I'm lifting heavy on flat and incline. I'm even doing skull crushers. I'm really happy. And think I haven't used the stuff in 2 months. Hope all is working out for you.
