Unfortunately returned to the mainland in 2003, right before heading to Baghdad but I go back once or twice a year, preferrably during prime surf season. I visit my old neighbors, the Rothmans, hang out, play the Ukelele, surf, etc. Not surfing big Pipe, though...got shyness issues of my own! ha! Aloha,

Looking ripped Sam! Nice work! I'm outta this middle east craphole in 17 days and I can't wait to get my diet straight. Training has been great, but it's so hard to get clean, unprocessed food here. Keep doing what you're doing brother.

Ah, another day in paradise, right? Got 25 days left for this deployment and I'm ready to get home. It's been hard to eat the way I want here. Gains have been good, but a little more body fat than I wanted while massing. Gotta love the DFAC! How's things?

Do not get discouraged! You are definitely making progress, you're just always harder on yourself. Your abs look much better than when you started. Remember the GOOD changes will happen slowly. I'm struggling with the same thing, so it feels good to tell someone else to do what I should be doing! ha! Keep up the hard work!

Just another deployment. Trying to avoid all the junk and eat clean. Tough some days, but a little willpower will go a long way I hope. It's so friggin hot right now, I'm taking in sick amounts of calories and still losing weight!

Pretty lucky with the chicken here, they have plain breasts they throw on the grill. I don't have bad sugar cravings but maybe once a week I'll have a cheat meal and indulge in some sugars. Usually at lunch instead of dinner.

Bulking is going well. Already back up over 200, strength is slowly coming back up. Yes, there are some pitfalls with food selection/availability but usually at least something simple to fall back on (chicken breast)
