When I Started:
Oct, 2006
How I Started:
I was always undersized in middle school. I had a lot of friends, but I was the guy that everyone always picked on. Went down a bad path from 18-21 and started drinking profusely. I bought a weight set one day and my gf at the time said I'd never use it, that I'm too lazy. Dumped the gf and the rest is history!
Why I Love It:
It's a challenge to constantly make progress and push yourself further with every workout. The feeling after having put your body through something you once never thought possible is just too amazing for words. I love the pump, the sweat, the nausea during leg training, the challenge it takes to follow a strict diet regimen, the soreness, and the health benefits. It's one hobby that I hope to keep for the rest of my days.
How I Stay Motivated:
"How do I not?", would be a better question.
BB Accomplishments:
2009 OCB Indiana Novice Tall 4th place
2009 OCB Indiana Open Mids 5th place
Do I even need to say why? :) If you're a natural bodybuilder (or any bodybuilder for that matter) this guy probably inspires you in one way or another.
Same man, I'm shooting for 220 and then when Feb comes around I'm going to start shredding down for a show in May. Then I'll have another one in august and of course the one in Indy in Sept. Ever since doing it, even tho i was nervous, i want to do better and come in better. Really hittin it hard bro
hey, the "kind" words are truth. And that nausea feeling during leg training is ADDICTIVE right!? You as sick as I am! haha.
keep touch future Olympian!
I'm shootin for the same show next year. I hat a couple things to work on and get a little leaner, so I'm gonna wait a year for my next one. Good luck at your next one!
I hope you had fun, being your first show. The backstage comraderie is usually a lot of fun. Main note I would give you- get those delts and lats wider to give you more V taper. Otherwise, keep growing and show up even more ript next time!
How's tri-phase treating ya? I worked with Derek for like 4 months and he got me from 220lbs to 185lbs with no strength loss on the CHA and tri-phase. I'm thinking about going back to tri-phase to mix things up.
Hi I'm new to this site and I see you look like you really know all about working out and I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how I can become motivated to start gaining muscle. I weigh 125 pounds and I'm 5'11". I'm 19 but where I work, most people mistaken me as 15 or as young as 13 and I want to work out so bad but I don't know where to start. I've tried Google but everybody has a different story so I thought I'd ask someone who's actually the real deal.
