Overall Goal: I want to get leaner, build muscle, get healthy, and get back into shape to play hockey!
P.S. if you're not going to bother saying anything to me (in your add request or comment) then I'm not going to bother adding you!
I originally got started lifting as a college Ice hockey player. I played for all 4 years but I haven't got on the ice nearly as much as I would like since then!
Last summer I got pregnant with my and my husbands first! Unfortunately I was tired and lazy during my pregnancy and have had complications since then so I couldn't get back to the gym until 9 months postpartum (jan 09) I had my baby girl 4/4/08.
I lost all 60lbs I gained during my pregnancy, but now I need tone up a lot! I want to get my old body back and then some!
Why I Love It:
It gives me energy, makes me feel good, helps me in my sport...
How I Stay Motivated:
Good question. I'm usually pretty motivated once I get in the habit of going and start seeing progress in how much I can lift.
My husband has been getting back into lifting the last few months and seeing his commitment and progress is definitely motivating! Going to the gym together every day and having someone there to push me is great!
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing MAJOR yet, but:
Benching a little over my own body weight.
Bringing my estimated leg press max to 825lbs.

About 7 months pregnant. Two days before having my daughter I weighed in at 204lbs! Crossing 200lbs was something I never thought I'd see and never want to see again! Needless to say there aren't any pictures of me then! I also left the hospital about 20lbs lighter :)
I want to get leaner, build muscle, get healthy, and get back into shape to play hockey!

Goal (Long):
Gain more muscle, lean out a little more...
I can bench my own body weight again so now I'm going for 6 reps at my body weight, I can get 3 reps right now. My ultimate goal for bench: 200lbs RAW and drug free!
I also want to be able to do 50 consecutive push-ups (I'm at 33.)
I want to be able to do 10 consecutive pull-ups (I'm at 5.)
I want to be able to do 20 consecutive dips (I'm at 13).
Even more long term goals: Compete in a local powerlifting competition, and maybe figure next summer, if I'm not knocked up lol!
He's the reason I got back into lifting! His hard work and dedication got my butt back in the gym after a pregnancy, huge weight gain, and ankle injury.
I got a good laugh from this! A great blog post with a fresh outlook on HIIT from fitness blog (Cranky Fitness). Enjoy!!

WOW, girl you have really made some amazing progress congrats on all of your efforts. What have you been doing to lose body fat? I am so impressed. Best wishes, Cheryl
We have been working about month on the protection. I am trying to keep a balance I don't want her to be mean. She has a loving nature and I dont want to lose that. Stay in touch good luck in all you do!
hi hun. just checking in. Sort of had life get in the way so haven't been able to log in. Any new pics or status? Would love to know how it's going. Your progress always gives me motivation.. Thanks!
Looking great! I am currently pregnant so I will be going down a similar path soon. I am very nervous about the weight gain but your pics have given me hope. Keep it up!
The highest competitive level I achieved was High School. Been playing rec since then. I won't be skating for a while so I have just enough time to get this done. It's really helping. You're a little monster on the leg press. Glad to see you're getting back into something you like doing.
