Background

When I Started: Jan 2009
HOW I STARTED:

I originally got started lifting as a college Ice hockey player. I played for all 4 years but I haven't got on the ice nearly as much as I would like since then! Last summer I got pregnant with my and my husbands first! Unfortunately I was tired and lazy during my pregnancy and have had complications since then so I couldn't get back to the gym until 9 months postpartum (jan 09) I had my baby girl 4/4/08. I lost all 60lbs I gained during my pregnancy, but now I need tone up a lot! I want to get my old body back and then some!

WHY I LOVE IT:

It gives me energy, makes me feel good, helps me in my sport...

Good question. I'm usually pretty motivated once I get in the habit of going and start seeing progress in how much I can lift.

My husband has been getting back into lifting the last few months and seeing his commitment and progress is definitely motivating! Going to the gym together every day and having someone there to push me is great!

Well... just look at her!! She had a young child and has managed to look totally smokin' hot! And I know for a fact that she pushes herself really hard to acheive what she wants. Too bad I'm 1 lbs higher than her on the bench but.... whatever, she'll catch up... one day! (LOL, just teasing! You rock and you know that I mean that!)

When I need inspiration I look at Bluelinersgirl. Look at her mommy figure! Its exactly what I am striving for! I look at her body and think, 'she has a baby?'. She also was one of the first people to reach out to me and tell me I could do it!!

Bulking? or Fattening? :(

I've been trying to add more muscle lately but I don't know if it's working :( I just feel like I've gained 8lbs of fat so far, I'm only seeing minimal strength gains. I guess I'll just stick with it for another month or two and then try to cut before my trip to Hawaii the end of March! Hopefully there will be a little more muscle there then I think! Probably won't be posting any progress pictures until I'm not feeling so fat and pale!

guest I had my baby 4 and half month now and I been working out since my baby was 40 days , I gained 17 kilos and now I lost all my wieght but I have a goal I want to be in shape and built musels and I need help to do that to look like you , I am breastfeeding . Locavore Well, because of either the IVF drugs or just plain laziness, I started this last pregnancy at 162, which is about +15 from my normal. I carried twins for 18 weeks and then we lost one, but that meant my early weight gain was OOC. So top weight was 203 (on my scale) or 207 (on my midwife's). I was at 187 a month out and have busted my hump to get to 161 now (4 months postpartum). I'm thinking/hoping another 14-15 weeks and -20 lbs. will get me back to where I used to be. Humbling!
