Overall Goal: I want to get leaner, build muscle, get healthy, and get back into shape to play hockey!
P.S. if you're not going to bother saying anything to me (in your add request or comment) then I'm not going to bother adding you!
Fit Status:
Trying to "bulk", not to sure what I'm doing!
I originally got started lifting as a college Ice hockey player. I played for all 4 years but I haven't got on the ice nearly as much as I would like since then!
Last summer I got pregnant with my and my husbands first! Unfortunately I was tired and lazy during my pregnancy and have had complications since then so I couldn't get back to the gym until 9 months postpartum (jan 09) I had my baby girl 4/4/08.
I lost all 60lbs I gained during my pregnancy, but now I need tone up a lot! I want to get my old body back and then some!
Why I Love It:
It gives me energy, makes me feel good, helps me in my sport...
How I Stay Motivated:
Good question. I'm usually pretty motivated once I get in the habit of going and start seeing progress in how much I can lift.
My husband has been getting back into lifting the last few months and seeing his commitment and progress is definitely motivating! Going to the gym together every day and having someone there to push me is great!
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing MAJOR yet, but:
Benching a little over my own body weight.
Bringing my estimated leg press max to 825lbs.

About 7 months pregnant. Two days before having my daughter I weighed in at 204lbs! Crossing 200lbs was something I never thought I'd see and never want to see again! Needless to say there aren't any pictures of me then! I also left the hospital about 20lbs lighter :)
I want to get leaner, build muscle, get healthy, and get back into shape to play hockey!

Goal (Long):
Gain more muscle, lean out a little more...
I can bench my own body weight again so now I'm going for 6 reps at my body weight, I can get 3 reps right now. My ultimate goal for bench: 200lbs RAW and drug free!
I also want to be able to do 50 consecutive push-ups (I'm at 33.)
I want to be able to do 10 consecutive pull-ups (I'm at 5.)
I want to be able to do 20 consecutive dips (I'm at 13).
Even more long term goals: Compete in a local powerlifting competition, and maybe figure next summer, if I'm not knocked up lol!
He's the reason I got back into lifting! His hard work and dedication got my butt back in the gym after a pregnancy, huge weight gain, and ankle injury.
I've been trying to add more muscle lately but I don't know if it's working :( I just feel like I've gained 8lbs of fat so far, I'm only seeing minimal strength gains.
I guess I'll just stick with it for another month or two and then try to cut before my trip to Hawaii the end of...
Gr8 to see that you are still fit and active after babies, too many woman just let go and never return to sport. My wife has always said that the fastest way to get over NB depression is to get active. Good luck and Blessings
I can relate to you when you said that you've been fit and like overnight 60lb heavier, I gained about 50lb each pregnancy. Your transformation is great your yoga moves are cool
ya its the reason i came here got a baseball scholarship but had some personal problems first semeseter so im not eligble to play this spring so red shirting which might be a good thing if i stay 5 years
Im having such a hard time with this site for some reason haha. But no problem! Your progress pictures are spectacular. I cannot wait until I have results like yours! I don't think there is a co-ed hockey team where I live, but I'm just recreational so it's not bad. Wish I could afford more ice time though!
I'm playing right wing with the intermediate recreational ladies in my city. It's a pretty low level. No slap shots, not many girls can even lift the puck. I'm not very good, only been playing for the past three years myself soo haha. I'd rather play with boys to be honest though!

I think your story is incredible! What an amazing chronological description of your body's recovery after child birth! you look AMAZING! I am currently 7.5 months pregnant now. I think I will be having a c-sec. How long did you wait until you started doing exercise? Also did you follow a particular kind of diet? I would love the advice!

Kiki
Long arms?? Now there's a stretch! (Hahaha, long arms - stretch, get it?! lmao) Ok, I'll buy your long arm theory.... because I also believe in Santa Claus ;)
