How I Started:
I wrestled all through high school so I had been pretty active prior to college. I never really got into lifting and after high school I didn't have anything motivating me to workout, so I didn't. I didn't start working out until my senior year of college. I am not sure what motivated me to start but I am glad I did because I absolutely love it. I lifted consistently for about 9 months and then took a six month hiatus after graduating last spring. I started back up in October of 2006 and have been very happy with my progress thus far.
Why I Love It:
I love the actual workout because it allows me to remove myself from everything else and just focus on that one thing for 90 minutes. I think I started lifting to gain the physique but that has become secondary for me now, an added bonus if you will. I love working out because it gives me a sense of total control over myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
My biggest motivator is improvement. As long as I improve from one week to the next I find it easy to go in that next week. Even if it is just one extra rep that I couldn't get the week before or the set becomes noticeably easier I am satisfied and motivated to go in the next week.

My only real goal is to just improve in my lifts from week to week. Physique wise, my only complaint is my chest so I am hoping to add some mass there. I am also on a quest to seek the Holy Grail. One day God parted the clouds and spoke to me. He told me it was my destiny to seek and to find the Holy Grail. If anyone has seen it...
