When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
Although it's only been a few years since getting out of High School, I have noticed a dramatic change to my appearance. In High School I had a great physique. I was well toned and I didn't have any fat on me. Now that I do more laying around and eating than I have ever done, my body has no muscular definition, and I have a closet full of clothes that no longer fit me from even a year ago. I am not happy with the way I look, and I know that the only way to change my appearance is to change my habits.
Why I Love It:
I love to see my progress as I continue my bodybuilding. I also love the rush and the incredible high I get after a good workout. Accomplishing my goals makes me feel like I am capable of doing anything.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reaching small goals I set for myself, and looking good for my upcoming wedding does the trick for me. Also, some badass music while I am working out and feeling the burn as my body is pushed to its limit leaves me wanting more the next day! I also want to become a personal trainer after I get out of the Military, and for that I need to be at my best shape. Nobody wants to go get advise on how to be fit from someone who is unhealthy.
BB Accomplishments:
I guess for me my major achievement in bodybuilding is sticking to it for more than three weeks. This is the longest I have been doing this, and I can clearly see the results now that I have stuck to it for a longer period of time.

I would like to continue shredding the fat off and get the body I want. It hasn't been easy for me, but I know that in the end it will be well worth all the effort. After my Marine enlistment I hope to become a Personal Trainer, but to be one I need to look the part. I don't think anybody will want to take advice from someone who isn't physically fit themselves. So for now all I need to do is concentrate on losing the weight and getting the physique that I have dreamed of getting.
So, as I have said before, my goal for today was 210 lbs. I went from 223 lbs to 206 lbs in the past 3 weeks and 4 days. I am very happy with that progress, and I have surpassed my goal that I have set for myself. So now I am wondering what I can really lose. It has not even been a month and I...

Hey man, always awesome to see another Marine. I'm stationed out of Jacksonville, definitely need to pass through Cherry Point on my way to the endless deployments I keep going on. Good luck with reaching your goals.
Lost track of my goals. Quite a huge set back for me. Getting back on track though. Got a buddy thats going to be working out with me now. This should start getting more fun.
