When I Started:
Dec, 2007
How I Started:
I've always been a healthy person, even as a kid growing up, but I was a skinny kid. When I turned 40 I started to put on weight. So i joined my local gym. At first I was only running to lose weight. Then I started to work out with the free weights. After seeing some improvements I decided to get serious that was in December 2007.
Why I Love It:
Simple!!! It makes me feel good, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, and pride. I love the pumped up feeling!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by watching & competing with others at my local gym. When I see other man and women of all ages running farther, lifting more & working out harder then me. I get motivated "IT'S NEVER ENOUGH"
BB Accomplishments:
Bench Pressing Contest (local gym)
3rd Place Over 50 Div.
Why has there been an endless number of blogs this month on the latest styles coming out of Europe and multiple blogs on UUG boots??? The classic style vs the tall and short versions????
Thanks. The move is done, still organizing the new place, but... and it's a big BUT, I have internet again, finally!! woot! Hope you are having a great day!
Hey how goes things, we are in high gear with soccer this time of year. College, High School and Club. Can't even remember who is playing where and when. How's the new workout going?
yeah thanks for the comment, I changed the routine to all pro's last week, after reading it it suits me better for what my goals are, I'm sticking to it for 5 weeks and I'll report back on that, so far so good and I gained 3 lbs already in 2 weeks :)
Thx Bob. Just to clarify, my no cheats is 30 days (June). I started a much stricter diet in early May. May: 1 cheat per wk on weekends. June: No cheats. Still, I've made progress. Down about 5 plus lbs since I started. :)
Good morning, how's everything w/ you? Not a whole lot of change yet w/ the back, maybe some slight improvement, but nothing substancial. Still haven't been doing any leg work and very little cardio. I'm doing quita a bit more abs w/o's though, and they're starting to show some results. Looks like you're steadily loosing weight. Anyhow, keep at it, and have a great day.
My daughter had arthroscopic, already back on her feet and should be ready for fall. My son goes to ODP this weekend. Good luck with the goals, not too shabby
Meal planning - Well, there's only one place to eat in the village and I don't know what they will have there, so I'm planning to take protein bars and powder, trail mix / nuts, and some dried fruit.
Congrats on the contest...good for you. How'd the soccer games go last weekend? We had a disappointing state cup weekend. Our team didn't bring thier A game.
Hey there. So, how's everything going with you? Looks like you're continuing to make progress with the weight loss. That's great. I've had to back off the cardio the past few days. I think I pinched a nerve in my hip, my leg's about half numb down to my knee. Hopefully it gets back to normal soon. Anyhow, have yoyrself a great weekend.
