When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
i have always lifted weights for high school sports and stuff. since joining the army i was more concerned with drinking and all that. i deployed to iraq and got fat as hell. since august i have lost 50lbs and started putting mass back on. we are going to redeploy back to the united states where i can have access to alot more equipment but i am doing alright.
Why I Love It:
i get a rush when i do it. and its a fun activity that if you work hard enough you see results and its very self motivating. i am a born leader and leaders are suppose to be powerful so gotta have the look.
How I Stay Motivated:
look at old pics from high school when i weighed 315lbs and also from august losing 50lbs of fat and putting on some nice lean muscle mass.
BB Accomplishments:
i have gotten down to 205 havnt been that weight since junior high. plus i am stonger than i ever have been even playing football. i am 205 and bench around 325 and squat around 450 and dead lift around 400 not bad for just getting back into it.
My new training goal is getting ready for Special forces selection. I will be leaving for SFAS in september and trying to get strong and in shape for that. I am going to try to be a medic its a long hard road about 5 years of training but its my life goal. should be a fun process getting ready...
Glad to hear you will be back home soon. I hope you post some pictures of family and friends when you get there. I'll be looking forward to seeing that! I bet you will get back on track fairly quickly too. :)
I'm glad to hear from you and that you will be getting home soon. I'm saddened by the bad news though. Stay well and stay safe. I pray for you guys all the time. Keep in touch.

Hi Rob..I'm so sorry to hear news like that. You guys are true heroes. Thank you for keeping us safe here at home. Training is going well. I had hurt my back a little but I'm better now.
Epiphany..wow. What are you doing that is new in your training? I was sick last week but managed to have a few very lite lifting sessions. I am planning on hitting it hard this week.
Hey, nice to hear from you. I'm making steady progress but need and want more definition!! Summer just around the corner. Drop me a line when you can.
Much love,

there are good articles on this site about building mass on your back. If youa re going for mma isn't lean , strong and mean the way to go? I think if you are going to be doin a ton of running, you will have to get more cals. R u guys just getting MRE's or do they cater? Hope you mish's go safe for you guys.
