Have been a distance runner all my life, then went into NAV and went into road racing to keep in shape. But the cardio is limiting with age due to arthritis in ankles and knees. Being a bone rack forever isn't all that either. I started gaining weight and muscle over the past couple of years. Now working on bigger mass and gains.
Why I Love It:
Always had ambition and admired people that care about their bodies and fitness. A healthy body starts with a healthy mind. Hail from large family that always played sports and were very competitive. Dad was major powerlifter, and probably instigated the proprietary elements and motivation along with brothers that were elite athletes. We all wrestled in HS along with other major sports.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have always only considered myself to be my best competition. "Mirror, mirror on the wall..." It's not the height of conceit, it's the epitome of personal bests and ambition.
BB Accomplishments:
Breaking through my past metabolic rate. I had the opposite problem facing most people altogether, my metabolism was lightning fast. Guess turning 40 was a blessing.

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
I go back to the days of Mike or Ray Mentzer. They were Godz.

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
So many to choose from, still always admired Chris Cormier. Probably some one I have never seen that hasn't been "noticed" and trashed by agents.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Slow and easy, you can't rush progress. Be your own competition, do not confuse your REAL life by the foolish attempt to buy into the hyper-ridiculous feed from the unstable and mass media hyped B.S.
Thanks for the vote. I read your profile and see that earlier in your life you faced the metabolism of a rabbit also. You seemed to have beat it so maybe there is hope for me also!
