How I Started:
I think everyone starts the same way at my age. You start feeling the blahs and the laziness set in upon you and then you go thru barnes & nobles and see the fitness magazines and get somewhat envious of the pictured perfection that you see. But that's where reality and your desires clash. I know I really need guidance to make this change happen and just going into the gym and doing random workouts with no focus and improvisation on what exercises to do will fail me and my goals to get the body I want.
Why I Love It:
People love to workout.... well, I know a few who do... but working out sucks... playing sports and performing @ a high level is a better high for me. Being able to outrun, outsmart, and outplay opponents is what I like to do. I've lost a few steps and more through my weight gain and complacency. But I will get back to pick up games and holding my own a lot better next intramural season.
How I Stay Motivated:
Since I've only been at this a little while I think the biggest motivation I have right now is my fiance. She can see differences in my behavior and in other ways.

I want to change my fat stomach to slimmer midsection. And tone up and bulk up in my legs and arms.
Goal (Long):
1 Lose my gut and get back into a reasonable size waist in jeans. I am in a 44 or 46 waist band in most brands.
2 Shape up chest, shoulders, arms, and abs to where I look more like the weekend warrior I used to be in high school.
3 Make a body that I feel comfortable with 24/7/365 so that shirtless activities become the norm.
What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
Red seedless grapes
Remove from Wal-mart(or other produce store's) bag
Rinse well with cool water

Where do you find healthy recipes to try?
I find sample meals in Men's Health. I like their nutrition section and the meals are simple and fast. Kind of like Rachel Ray type meals without all the repeated humor of bowl carrying and use of EVOO as a phrase. Don't get me wrong I use EVOO to cook but not as a punch line. She's cool as well as Devin Alexander but I like the eyes on ingredients and meal caloric intake information approach before I even feel comfortable with the new recipe.I find sample meals in Men's Health. What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?
Immediately I drink BSN Cellmass and 30 minutes later i drink another serving of Syntha-6

Hi Tall One! Halloween was fun but too brief. You know how I like to dress up, haha. I was a mermaid and I took your advice and carried water. I went to a local haunted house, then spent the evening overeating and watching horror movies (all the way until I fell asleep last night).
