When I Started:
Oct, 2005
How I Started:
My husband became a trainer and began training me. I started with a bodybuilder routine and later changed my diet.
I was driven to success through my fear of becoming a HUGE, fat old lady who had to use an electric scooter to get around. Now I am driven by my success!
Why I Love It:
I love lifting heavy and I love that I have really strong abs. My strength and endurance is amazing to me. I never liked to exercise but weightlifting brings out an animal in me. I become superhuman when i lift and it makes me feel good about myself. More than anything, I love the results of weightlifting. The stronger I get, the more I can lift. Also, the weight seems to slowly drop off.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated because I have a great husband who keeps me going and my results keep me motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost 82 lbs and reduced my body fat by 12% in one year!
I started curling 15lb dumbells...now I curl 35lb dumbells!
My hack Squat started with 50lbs and now I hack squat 270 with ease (3 sets of 12)!

Update: I went back to school to get my MBA and this with working full time was too much so I dropped the gym. Big mistake for my body & health because I gained back 35 lbs and my self-esteem went down the toilet.
The good news is that I am almost done with school (6 weeks left) and I am back in the gym. Re-started my routine on March 9th and I am already down 11 lbs. The weight loss is great, but my mental state and body feels so much better. I feel happier and more alive. I forgot how much I love pumping iron and competing with the guy next to me. I'm not back to the weights I was pushing before, but I am close.
Keep an eye on my progress because I know that I am going to amaze myself and my family. I have had a weight problem my whole life and I know that hard-core weight training is the answer for me to no longer be a pudge-O.

For those of you who are mean to fat people...be carefule because it could happen to you one day or even someone you really love. Fat is happy to attach itself to anyone. It's not going to rule me anymore though!

What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
I like to wear stretchy black pants and a sports bra top...even though m tummy is not flat, it gets too hot in the gym and hanging clothes get in the way. I also hope to one day look as sexy as I feel inside.I like to wear stretchy black pants and a sports bra top...even though m tummy is not flat, it gets too hot in the gym and hanging clothes get in the way. This month, I started a new routine. Instead of focusing only on free weights, I am now cycling between free weights and machines each week. It's amazing how fast my strength has built up in these few short weeks.
My most amazing improvement is my Shoulder shrugs. I actually started to...
Awsome progress! I'll bet you feel great. Your efforts show in every part of your figure and face. I'm trying the same thing and just hope that I can keep with it - seeing your results gives me that extra push.
Con-"freakin"-gratulations on all of your hard work and dedication. You have achieved so much already and I am impressed by your strong will and look forward to your continued progression. Keep pushing yourself to be the best that you can be. You are an inspiration to so many who don't believe that it can be done.
How are things with the new job promationa nd ne stress that comes with it? Been thinking of you. Just got back form Hawaii. Have a competition in Baltimore on Saturday and am so not ready. Just so tired from adjusting to the time changes.
