Side note here... one of my hobbies (if I dare call it that) is making short videos for my friends and family back in Canada to watch. Here's the site addy:

In regards to weight training, I've always really loved working out and being active in sports. Whether it was weekend street hockey, field hockey or a good game of pick-up basketball, I have always been active. Mind ya, it wasn't until my 3rd year of university that I really started to hit the gym and start weight training.
Why I Love It:
I love working out not only because I love the changes in my appearance and increase in energy it produces, but the satisfaction of knowing that I pushed my body to it's limits and challanged myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
I must admit, it's been hard to stay motiviated while training here in Korea but, to be brutally honest with you, Koreans don't really find muscle on a woman attractive. I know I get stares at the gym, comments in the changeroom, and dirty looks from fellow gym goers, but that's ok. I've got a really encouraging gym partner who's new to working out and so she's always excited to ask me questions. Furthermore, my boxing coaches are really positive and train me hard. They don't give me any slack because I'm a foreigner or because I'm a girl... and I really respect that.
BB Accomplishments:
As for major accomplishments, well, I've only had a few boxing matches but my best to date was this Japanese girl I faught in Seoul. It was just a local match at my gym but I know she was expected to win. Actually, she ended up creaming me and knocking me out with a dirty punch after the round had ended. They called her on it too and I ended up winning because I had scored more points.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
At boxing my coach trains with me on the pad work but for the rest of the training and my morning runs, I'm on my own.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I usually crank up the tones on my laptop and dance around the house with my puppy dog... hehehe. Mind ya, for my morning runs, I get myself motivated by standing in front of the fridge and looking at the snapshots I posted on it of my favorite female bodybuilders. It acts as a reminder to myself that nothing comes easy and just as hard as it is for me to get up and running, they also experience that feeling too. Nothing worth fighting for comes easy. It's all a matter of how bad do you want it!I usually crank up the tones on my laptop and dance around the house with my puppy dog... hehehe. What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
My favorite cardio exercise is doing pad work in the boxing ring with my coach. It lets me really show him what I've got and cause he's right there with me, he really works to encourage me and push me to the next level. It's hard, it's grueling, but it's so awesome! My favorite cardio exercise is doing pad work in the boxing ring with my coach.
