Overall Goal: I turn 40 this fall and I've decided I'd like to compete in a Naturals Figure competition so it's time to add lean muscle and figure out how to be a cardio queen :)
Fit Status:
I've hired a trainer and I'm on a mission to add lean muscle and increase cardio to carve out abs.

When I Started:
2004
How I Started:
My mother passed away in 2000 from Huntington’s chorea, a neurodegenerative disorder, at the young age of 50. Our family didn’t know much about the disease, even though it is hereditary, because she was adopted. From that point forward it has been very important to me to do all that I can to remain healthy as long as I can for my children. I began working out regularly and reading as much information as I could find. In 2004 I met my best friend Teresa, who is a personal trainer, and I have been addicted to lifting ever since!
Why I Love It:
I'm vain! I lost a great athletic body at 15 by getting pregnant and gaining 47 pounds. For years I thought I had ruined my body for life - skinny again but with stretch marks, flab, etc. - so I had to just deal with it. But once I started working out and found this site...WOW! I realized that can all be changed. Skin doesn't have to be flabby, skinny isn't the best I can do, and stretch marks....well, when the rest is looking good those aren't as noticeable! Now I'm addicted to the natural endorphins and energy. :)
Watching my body change has been exciting. I'd love for other young mothers to realize this way way before I did.
How I Stay Motivated:
Time at the gym is "my" time, that motivates me. I'm also getting very close to 40, that stinks, but I want to look good and feel good no matter what my age is.
I've recently noticed my boys making healthy food choices on their own when eating out - that is great motivation!
BB Accomplishments:
Changing my eating style to clean. I picked up Tosca's Eat Clean diet book and thought it would be tough...but now about a year later, it is a simple way of life. I love how eating clean makes me feel.

This was taken in June of 2000 when I started searching for a healthier way of life. Finding out I didn't have to live with my 'after babies' body was an amazing surprise!
I'm using this as a base photo. I've dropped body fat and now on a program to add lean muscle and I'm still trying to carve some abs.

Goal (Long):
Turning 40 this year stinks so I've decided placing in a figure competition would make it a whole lot easier! I have a small body frame and have never had much of a butt. I am working to add lean muscle all over, increase cardio to loose belly fat so that you can actually see some lower abs, and of course.....keep building bootie! My goal is to be ready by October 1st.
Having 6 kids has to be a major challenge and she still makes time to look great and stay healthy. I think one of the best things you can do for your family is teach them, through example, how to live a healthy lifestyle and care about themselves. Neat neat lady.
Fabulous Rock Hard Sexy Bootie! Adding mass is tough for me but for the past year ChickenTuna has given me tips and encouraged me to keep going...and its getting there :)
I've recently noticed that I had hit a plateau with my training. I change my routine every 4 to 6 weeks but I still didn't seem to be getting noticeable results any longer. I love to research, so I dug into the training books, magazines and blogs about this and decided a break and...

hey beautiful girl! how are you doing? Did you have a good weekend? I just wanted to say hi and check in with you!! It has been a while! You are looking absolutely amazing as always! Hopefully hear from you soon!
You’re welcome for the kudos. I firmly believe in giving recognition when it is deserved. You definitely merit the praise and it looks like you have been given the same regards by others. Congrats! When it comes to living in the great state of KY your spirits might be dampened slightly because I am a border jumper to the state of OH but of course I call the Bluegrass state home. I hope life in the Show Me state is amazing. The nickname definitely has meaning for this lifestyle.
You're going to be 40? woow! you look great! how has everything been?? Things here are good, coming along. I turn 30 in January and i want to look better at 30 then i did at 26 or 27! I can't believe it the big 30! I'm excited! :)
