When I Started:
Apr, 2009
How I Started:
I first began working out my second semester of college, with weight training in the Spring Semester then continuing with Kickboxing and weight training for four more semesters. I stopped working out when I was about to graduate and the weight slowly crept on. Back in March/early April 2009, I saw pictures of me out with friends and I was mortified. I was so depressed I let myself get bigger and was obvious (I had convinced myself I could "hide" my weight.I know) A week later, I dedicated myself to going into the gym 5 days a week, and I haven't been able to stop since.
Why I Love It:
Really, it just became a part of my daily routine. If I DON"T go, I just feel awful and lazy. When I'm finished, I have this release of stress that makes me feel a ton better and that alone is great!!
How I Stay Motivated:
Working out has become a lifestyle for me. I have incorporated it into my life that it just became almost second nature out of routine.
That and knowing that in a few months I'm going to look like what I USED to back in the day.
BB Accomplishments:
Being able to fit into my old pants =D and taking off my pants without unbuttoning them. Hey I think thats pretty cool lol
I wasn't working out or eating right. This was my heaviest ever. I'm looking at my waist and my chubby cheeks. wow. I've come a long way, but still have ways to go.
First pic taken August 24, now this is September 13. Hmmm I'm TRYING to see a difference . . .
It's okay. I just missed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I was back in the gym Monday.
I'm so happy because now I'm able to actually see a big difference from when I first began. I have an hourglass figure so I lose weight evenly, so for me, it takes awhile to see a difference. Either way...
That would be sweet! I'm pumped as well, planning my first show this April so I strt dieting maybe Jan, which kindof sucks cause I'll be dieting through my bday :( lol I think you would do great! Plus nothing like getting in the beat shape of your life
That's great! And I'm sure your looking great! I'm going to add cardio in little more as well, I don't like the bulky soft look but trying to add some more muscle and compete :). Any competition plans ever?
Thanks, I appreciate that you accepted my friend invite. Good luck to you in accomplishing all your health and fitness goals. Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.
