When I Started:
How I Started:
I got REALLY fat (148lbs at 5 ft 2)by eating junk and being lazy throughout my teens. Struggled a bit with the whole starvation diet thing losing 50lbs in a year...and spending the next 9 years veering between 100 and 120lbs...the end result being a bag of ugly bones, and excessive bodyfat percentage and NO muscle mass whatsoever!!
Now I want to be fit, healthy, able to eat tons of food and power myself though life.
Why I Love It:
It saved me from a life of thin-obsession and I've never felt better! Its also a great conversation piece...people dont expect a small girl like me to be into weight training...I like to suprise people.
How I Stay Motivated:
I know the alternative to feeling this good - dont even need to go back there! :-)
BB Accomplishments:
At this point my main achievement has simply been maintaining a stable healthy weight for around 2 years now. But my immediate goals are to develop visable muscle definition and improve my strength.
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Persevere! And dont be afraid to "look silly" - no one is watching you.
