Goal (Long):
Get as strong as I possibly for my next meet. I have been training on and off my whole adolescent to adult life, but I have just gotten into powerlifting style benching around june of 2008 and already have a 500lb. equipped single ply bench. So I am climbing fast and plan on being among the best years down the road after I put in my time and pay my dues. I hope to compete in my first full meet before 2010.

How is your training going. How about the diet? I know its tough with that good creole food your surrounded by. Im here with you for help man. Good luck with your fitness man.
You can do it man. I was huge too. Do it smart, slowly, and with strategy so you preserve your strength and mass. When loosing bodyfat, your gona loose strength. So a pound of protein per bodyweight is good. Stick with compounds as your loosing. High intense, low volume cardio. NOT LONG! Hardly no machines for a while. 8-12 reps heavy as possible. Squeeze and flex during and between sets too. Ive got some other ideas. Thats the basics I used though. Try that.
Thank you, it is really cool to see local people on here. As far as my training goes my husband pretty much whips my ass in the gym everyday. He is always pushing me to my limits (in a good way). Wouldn't be doing soo much weight training if it weren't for him!
