I was tired of being fat and wanted to look and feel better for myself and my son. I also needed another way to deal with the stresses of deployment/work.
Why I Love It:
I feel like a different person every time I walk out of that gym. It's my stress reliever. I give it all that I have for that day and it's beginning to really show. It also makes me feel good when someone asks for help/advice.
How I Stay Motivated:
This was how I felt in the beginning:
Wanting to be a better ME because theres always room for improvement. It also feels good knowing that my kid thinks that working out is cool and being the COOL MOM is AWESOME!!!
This is how I feel now:
The support I get from my AWESOME son as well as my friends here and everywhere else. On this site I've noticed that the most Phenominal physiques I've ever seen are of women that are 35+. That is OUTSTANDING!!!
BB Accomplishments:
The first time I saw my 6. I was grinning ear to ear and all I wanted to do was wear a swimsuit for the rest of that day...but it was cold. :-( HAHA!!!

REALLY...DO I NEED TO GIVE AN EXPLANATION?!?! FOR THOSE WHO ARE CURIOUS, SHE IS THE BEST OF ALL TIME!!!! ONE OF MY MOTIVATIONAL TOOLS and in MY OPINION, NO ONE ELSE COMPARES!!!
Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
it's important to have their support.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
not to get frustrated or discouraged. it will all pay off. finally getting the results you've worked so hard to achieve is the best feeling in the world.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
my biggest challenge this next month will be not laughing when watching the comedy of errors and baffonorous behavior, lol. Stay tuned ... I'll give you an update by next weekend:)
Charecter buidling is what I' ALL about :) I'll share some cool stories with you soon:) Now if we can just suffer through these 100 degree days til August, we'll be set!
Stay in touch ... I'll drop you a note or two along the way this month!!
just trying to sweat it out here in AL. the heat and humidity is opressive, lol. we start training the cadets on saturday, so 18 hour days ... not stop hussling them around from point to point and probably doing it with a fairly noticable volume, lol. just trying to stay hydrated and not completely fade away during this next month!
Boots on the ground is overrated! I'd rather be on a GOV. Cruise around the world instead of humping mountains! Lost another soldier yesterday morning.
I'm guilty of the clock watching after leave, too. You and I seem to have more than a few things in common, lol. I'll keep checkin back on those pics. You can bet I won't miss them when they're posted :)
Thanks for the tip girl!! I was doing high weight/low rep, but recently started what you advised, high rep/low weight for my lower body and I think it's better cus it's more of a fat burning thing rather bulking I don't need to bulk anymore LOL!
