My brother got me into it. I was in the 6th grade and my brother was a Sr. in high school. He was getting ready for his SR. year playing football and I went to the gym with him. My biggest memory was benching 135 pounds (the wheel and axle) two 45's on the bar. I was hooked from that day on because it made me stand out amoung my peers. My brother passed away at 39 years old but to this day whenever I warm up with 135 pounds I think of him.
Why I Love It:
Stress reduction. I truly feel that if I could not work out I would die.
How I Stay Motivated:
It is hard with work and other factors. I just got back into the gym after about a three year lay off. It has been a tough year for me personally. I gained weight to 305 pounds and had a terrible bodyfat. I started working on my diet on October 16th 2007,then got back into the gym on November 16th 2007.
Since October I have lost 55 pounds and cut my body fat by over 10%. I am averaging over 3% reduction in bodyfat a month. I am on my way back!

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Arnold in his contest days. Nothing like it then or since. He has always been an inspiration. I also think that that dude who was King in the movie 300 had a pretty good build.
Hey Mike! Thanks for the pic compliment :) I'm good - still doing the diet and workout thing and thinking about hiring an in-person PT for 2x/month to teach me something new. My shoulder is great; not quite 100% but doing really well. All it took was 1 Advil and 1 Tylenol every 4 hrs for about a month. I felt relief within 30 mins of my first dose! Finally! Thanks for asking :) You getting lots of boating in?
Well hey Mike!! Wow, that was a loooong bit of travel for ya! I'm sure it must be good to be back home and settled for a while. Bet you can't wait to get back in the boat and on the water, too :)
Hey there stranger!!! Yes, I do love the summer and the tanning that goes with it. Heading to the beach this weekend for some sun and fun. How are you?
Hey Buddy! Where are you? I saw that you are traveling alot - I hope you're doing great! I also lost my little tiny shuffle....it was in my hand in the locker room & by the time I got to my car it was gone! I retraced my steps, but GONE!! We're losing it!!
