Posted in Other : Jan 12, 2011 6:51pmI highly recommend that you check out On Fitness magazine if you are serious about your fitness and/or helping others reach their fitness goals. It is perhaps the only magazine of it's ilk that doesn't prostitute itself out to the supplement hustlers and their ilk.
I've just read the last couple of issues of On Fitness and each were full of helpful hints, especially for personal trainers. It only comes out 6x per year but there is more useful information in one issue than in probably 6 issues of Muscle and Fitness (would you like an article with you supplement ads)

Posted in Other : Jan 09, 2011 4:59amI have been doing burpees for a couple years now, and am proud of my 100 burpees in nine minutes and change. But the other day, I walked in on one of the members knocking out burpees with a 25 pound dumbbell in each hand. He stopped at 50 reps. He said his shoulders were en fuego. I told him I had to try it.
The next day I knocked out 100 burpees with 30 pound dumbbells in each hand. I did it in 18:27. I almost stopped at 50 but hey, I’m the manager. So, I pushed through it; 10 sets of 10 reps.
