I really got into working out in 1999. I actually met my husband at a Bally's Total Fitness, he was my personal trainer (made working out even more fun). I have never looked better in my entire life then I did back then. Unfortunately I have fallen off and on the wangon several times over the last 8 years and I'm currently very unhappy with my body. I started, about a year ago, to work out with purpose again but I still need to "kick it up a notch" as they say. Hence, my Bodyspace profile is born.
Why I Love It:
I just love the natural high and sense of accomplishment you get from pushing your body to it's limits. I feel so happy and confident when I'm in shape. Equally as important, I'm miserable and tired when I'm not in shape. I'm tired of wishing I looked the way I used to, afterall, time spent wishing is time wasted.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband is my cheerleader and always reminds me of my goals when I go a little nuts and forget them. He, when he is working out, is the most determined and motivated person I know.
I am also very inspired by some people close to me that have made amazing changes in their bodies and have done it in a healthy way. Seeing people make that kind of change makes me want to do it for myself.
I also keep cloths that I used to love that don't fit me anymore and try them on constantly :)
BB Accomplishments:
Over the last year I have lost, and kept off, about 12 lbs, but I still have at least 25 to go. I have, for the first time in about 6 years, also started to see some definition again in my arms and legs! Who knew, I still have quads, calves, biceps and triceps...let's see if I can't find some other muscles under there!

I want to lose fat but not muscle, shrink my waist and increase my energy!
Goal (Long):
I would like to lose 25 lbs total without losing any muscle. My goal is to lose approx 1 1/2 lbs a week. I will attempt to do this by setting a goal to burn at least 4000 calories a week through a regimen of cardio, weight training and adjusting my caloric intake. I plan to do 5 days of cardio and three days a weight training a week.
My immediate goals are: Chest - 36", Waist - 27", Hips - 36"
Well it's been 2 or 3 weeks since I blogged, and I'm in danger of getting complacent, so here's my blog for the next week or two...
The last couple of weeks have had up's and down's in terms of my progress toward my goals. I picked up a 2nd workout partner who wants to workout Mon, Tues...
Hi and thanks! :-) Have I made any progress?...well, I went from 143 to 151 and now I'm back down to 146. So no, I haven't. :-))
How about you? How are the pull-ups coming along?
Hey Angie; Thanks for the reply and add! I go way back with San Diego. My dad's family is from there and I served there when I was in the Navy. Best regards, Scott
Hi Angie; Your pics look terrific. Good luck in achieving the goals that you've set for yourself. Best regards, Scott
