When I Started:
Feb, 2009
How I Started:
I had been a fat boy all my life until late 1995 when I went through a divorce at the age of 24. I stepped on a scale one day and decided it was time for a change as the needle went all the way around and BACK to ZERO, indicating I weighed approximately 300 lbs. I lost over 100 of it in the next 9 months. During the past 10+ years I have done some fluctuating, unfortunately, but have learned a lot about nutrition, working out, and what works best for me. My latest venture began in February as my one and only daughter turned 1. I decided I needed to make a huge PERMANENT change in my lifestyle. I have some lofty goals, and at the top of that list is living long enough to see my daughter grow up.
Why I Love It:
What I love most is the end of a good workout, especially a morning one. It helps me glide through the rest of the day knowing today is one more day I have been successful.
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror and my daughter.

Lean mass, minimal fat...isn't that everyone's goal?
Goal (Long):
My overall goal is to transform my body.
I began the journey this time around on Feb 9th, 2009 and hope to make some significant gains by the time I turn 40 on April 1, 2011. This should give me plenty of time to reach a goal of at least 10% BF and let an ab or two peak through...if my skin tightens up enough. It's a lofty goal, and I'd probably be satisfied with less, but I realize it's important to aim high.
I find kcmoto inspirational because he knows what it takes to get results and is also very helpful at BB.com.
He also kind of looks like Danny Bonaduce in some of his pictures and I think that's cool, too!
What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
I just discovered "Sludge", a fudge-like mixture of natural peanut butter and protein powder, with a splash or two of water. Holy cow! Definitely tastes like a cheat, but it's not! Do you sometimes use a protein powder?
Yes
What is your favorite protein powder?
I really like ON's 100% Gold Standard but have been using Body Fortress to save $$$.

What is the best type of protein for you?
Whey Protein
Why is this type of protein best?
Because it usually tastes good (although I've never had a strawberry flavor that I've liked) and digests easily.
Mornin' Brad...thanks for the kind words. IMO a man should be wise and strong and set the best of examples to family and friends and you are doing damn fine. I've been a musician all my short life.
If you did check out my music I hope you found it worthy of your time.
Thanks again.
